New Remote Practices in Title Deed Transactions

Why Do You Need to Buy a House in 2022?

A new practice unites home buyers and sellers in different provinces or countries. Remote title deed transactions will be available on 15 September in all directorates of the land registry.

General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre noted the regulation that made title deed transfer actions possible in cases when buyers and sellers are at different land registry directorates or representation offices abroad was introduced on January the first.

The pilot scheme was launched in Ümraniye, Çankaya, Büyükçekmece, Kepez, Bayraklı, and Bornova land registry directorates and Berlin representation office on 17 January. The areas of execution were later expanded.  

With the new practice, citizens can conduct a transaction without having to be present in the same directorate. In this way, people will not leave where they live, waste time traveling, or bear any travel and accommodation expenses. The new regulation also aims to protect people from Coronavirus. 

As of today, a total of 352 transactions were carried out remotely. Starting 15 September, all directorates of the land registry will perform the practice.
